Kevin Burke is currently a visiting professor at Endicott College. He is a former District Attorney and Former Secretary of The MA Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. As Massachusetts Secretary of Public Safety and Security, Kevin led 15 departments and agencies including the state homeland security division, the state police, the department of corrections, and the National Guard. As the district attorney for Essex County, he was a leader in developing legislation and legal policy for Massachusetts and for the nation. Kevin was the author of the Massachusetts Victim’s Bill of Rights, and he founded the state’s first child sexual abuse unit, which became a national model. He also served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
