Jessica Kahlenberg is Roca’s Director of Strategy and External Affairs. She is responsible for its communications and media work, assisting in developing and implementing Roca’s policy agenda, working on Roca’s national impact strategy, and partnering with state and local organizations on systems change initiatives. Jessica comes to Roca after two years as the Innovation and Strategy Advisor to the City Manager of Chelsea, where she focused on bringing in new ideas and technology to drive government efficiency. Before that, she worked as a researcher and data analyst on issues of women and public policy, access to health and education services, and social entrepreneurship both in the U.S. and abroad.
Originally from Maryland, Jessica holds an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a BA in History and Sociology from the College of William & Mary.
