Katie Pietrzak, MBA, is a seasoned financial and operational executive with more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, strategic operations, and organizational performance improvement. Katie is the Chief Financial Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILH BS), where she is responsible for the overall financial stewardship of the behavioral health service line and its operating budget, serving as the organization’s senior financial leader and spokesperson, providing strategic, operational, and programmatic oversight across finance and business operations. As a member of executive leadership, she works closely with the President to guide long‑ and short‑range financial planning, improve organizational performance, and align operational initiatives with systemwide strategic goals.
From April to December 2023, Katie served as Interim President of BILH Behavioral Services, leading the organization through a period of transition while maintaining operational and financial stability. In this role, she oversaw care delivery, strategic planning, performance improvement, and organizational effectiveness across the behavioral health service line.
Previously, Katie served as Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) from 2013 to 2018. In this position, she directed strategy and operations for a large ambulatory division, including six outpatient clinics, two adult learning centers, three In‑Home Therapy programs, and two Community Service Agencies. She led budgeting for a $25M operating portfolio, drove a 33% increase in outpatient access, implemented quality improvement initiatives, ensured regulatory compliance, and advanced the organization’s electronic health record transformation.
Earlier in her career, Katie held several key leadership roles in the behavioral health and nonprofit sectors, including Director of Finance and Operations at CASPAR, Inc., where she
also served as Interim Executive Director, and Chief Financial Officer at College Bound Dorchester. She began her finance career at Lahey Health Behavioral Services (formerly CAB Health and Recovery Services), where she spent more than a decade progressing through roles within the finance and accounting department.
Katie holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Technology and Education, both from Salem State University.
